A California Chef with Kampangpangan Roots
Reggie grew up in a Filipino household. Young Reggie, then known as “Jon Jon” spent many evenings standing on a stool watching as his Kapampangan Father created unique, flavorful, and creative meals all with visual appeal. In his father’s kitchen, Reggie experienced the tastes, smells, and the creative process. Much later when Reggie was a Financial Advisor, one of his clients asked “where are you from?”. When Reggie mentioned Pampanga, the client exclaimed “Pampanga, that is where all the great cooks are from!” That was an intriguing observation as Reggie reflected that he had spent much of his free time experimenting in the kitchen with flavors, colors, and fresh ingredients. In 2022, Reggie had the epiphany that his heart and roots are in the culinary arts. With the vision to create a food business that brings together community, fresh food, and a love of flavor, The Pesce Veggie was formed.
