Big Changes for Pesce Veggie Food Truck: Festivals, Events, and a Community Focus
It’s been a while since we last posted, and there’s so much to share! The Pesce Veggie Food Truck has shifted gears, and we are thrilled to announce that festivals and events are now our primary focus. Whether it’s a lively festival or a special community gathering, we’re bringing fresh, vibrant, and delicious vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options to your event.
Reggie, our head chef, has been hard at work perfecting our offerings. He’s become an expert at sourcing the freshest produce and crafting diverse menus that cater to all tastes. But that’s not all Reggie’s been up to! When he’s not delighting festival-goers, he’s serving up nutritious meals for the students and staff at Mount Madonna School. It's an incredible balance—nurturing young minds with healthy food while fostering a sense of community within this beautiful environment.
Reggie also continues to share his culinary knowledge with the students, teaching them the ins and outs of cooking healthy, sustainable meals. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling experience for him, and we’re excited about the path ahead as we combine our passion for food, education, and community engagement.
As we continue to participate in festivals and events, we look forward to connecting with all of you. Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for more exciting updates from Pesce Veggie Food Truck!
The Pesce Veggie seeks to be more
The Pesce Veggie seeks to be more; more efficient, more sustainable, and more FUN! Our new customer order notification system streamlines your ordering experience. While we love yelling out names old-school style, giving you a clearer indication of when your food is ready allows you to continue to socialize, play with your kids, and overall continue having a good time.
The Pesce Veggie hitches a ride
An unexpected turn of events on what would have been a simple trip to the gas station left Chef Redge on the side of Freedom Blvd looking for a tow. The Pesce Veggie is a clean-air vehicle that runs on Natural Gas, or CNG. There is one CNG station in Santa Cruz, which closes at 4 pm. Running out of rocket fuel in the Pesce Veggie truck is sure to mean a not fun time. Chef Redge never fails to find the fun in all things, and he convinced Auto Care Towing to bring their medium-duty tow truck out to save the day. The Pesce Veggie eventually made it to the station and vowed never to run out of CNG again.
El Vaquero Winery
Preparations in the commercial kitchen took the Pesce Veggie Staff to new levels. We loved seeing everyone! We enjoyed serving up our Magic Butterfly Tea and classic Smokie Salmon Burger. The Pesce Veggie will return to El Vaquero Winery in September. Hope to see you there!
Bargetto Art and Wine Festival. We went! It was great! We would do it again!
The Bargetto Winery Art and Wine Festival was everything we hoped it would be! A great staff, friendly customers, and all with a love of food and food trucks. We served up Pesce Shrimp Tacos, Salmon Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Sloppy Portabello Lentils, and Pesce Fries. We heard many positive comments. Our favorite:
I have had food from food trucks all over the world. I gotta tell you, this food is really good you guys. Really good!
Now we will keep the momentum as we head to the Food Truck Friday event at Sky Park in Scotts Valley on July 28th, 5pm - 8pm. See you there!
